An Evening with Hélène Biandudi Hofer!
Please join us for our annual fund raising event on October 20, 2022 at the Monroe County Convention Center. The festivities start at 5:30 PM with small-plate hors d’oeuvres and sweets (no sit-down dinner), a cash bar (beer and wine), and a silent auction of a delicious array of packages to Bloomington’s unique eateries. Our featured speaker this year is Hélène Biandudi Hofer. Hélène is a broadcast journalist, documentary filmmaker, media entrepreneur, and conflict coach. She led a news magazine program in Western New York for nearly a decade, exploring solutions to societal challenges. From investigating police reform in Camden, New Jersey, to examining education opportunities in South Sudan, her award-winning work has appeared on PBS, NPR, and commercial broadcasting. Most recently, she co-founded Good Conflict, an organization that helps communities and organizations get smarter about how they fight. Hélène has trained over a thousand journalists across 140 newsrooms worldwide on how to transform their coverage of controversial and divisive issues.
